I'd like to start off on a positive note.Musically,Sunburst was awesome.Incubus and The Roots itself gave us reasons to salivate in anticipation for next years event.
Now,on the subject of the disappointment for winners of the Meet and Greet contest.Most of us probably started the day off with excitement ,thinking of how a conversation with the Roots,or Incubus would be,what to take to be autographed etc.When the time came,unfortunately,the manner in which we were treated was disrespectful.It was disheartening to see deserving fans who won the contest shoved(literally for some of us) out of the room with nothing more than a 30 second stint and no conversation whatsoever.To top it all off,we had to miss three quarters of John Legend's performance.
To the people in charge,I plead to your better judgment to reimburse the time and energy that we wasted.
I sincerely apologize if I have offended anyone through this post and hope next years event will be managed more tactfully.

Meet & Greet is basically just that... Meet and Greet. To have 20 or 30 or so fans to strike a conversation is something that they do not want before a performance. We were given strict instructions to make it as quick as possible. I must apologise if you feel mistreated.

The thing is it wasn't 20 or 30 people and we were handed an itinerary stating that 10 minutes would be allocated for the session.There were about 10 fans in there,and I think a photograph each wouldn't have taken too much time and left everyone feeling more than satisfied.Instead,we just stood behind Incubus,while the press clicked away,and then we were forced outside.If that is how a Meet and Greet session is supposed to be,I am severely misinformed.Please rectify this situation,if not for now,then at least for future purposes.

I second that. original itinerary goes like this "11.00pm - 11.15 pm Incubus Meet and Greet with Fans", "11.30-11.50pm Incubus Meet the Press".

I was having a fever but i came because it was once in a lifetime moment never to be missed. Im sure 20 others feel the same.
but instead all of us were disappointed dearly..

Although Incubus was late (and every planning goes by their time), why:

1. were the press crowding the front?

suggestion : the management could've had a line as a barrier or a gap of 2 metres from the press table so that everything wont be as messed up, after the fans had at least 5 mins of shaking hands and taking pics they could've lifted the barrier.

2. did the management promise to take a group photo by taking each of our camera but never did?

suggestion : had there been efficient management, that risk of half cooked satisfaction (stint/just for show meet and greet) could have been avoided. they could've actually performed that promise, but it was just for show..

3. was there inefficient care of our things to be signed?

suggestion: even though Incubus did not sign any of our "one item that will be signed", i do not think that it's a costly thing to provide them with a pen/marker and state/whisper to them that "these things are to be signed". If they refuse that than we'd understand, but there doesn't seem to be any visible effort of that. plus, i got my poster stolen, which i kept for four years.

4. was there some unethical handling of fans?

suggestion: if the press weren't as near, the fans could've had their 15 mins promised, (or 5 would be more than enough to have a silly little chat and a proper Photo taken as promised). instead, what we got was to stand BEHIND them and look at them mutter things to the press. there wasn't even a proper meet and greet, some of us couldn't even look at them in the eye and shake their hands. plus, after a minute or so, the management crew just pulled our hands and said "dah dah dah, cukup cukup". i understand your time limitation, but i can't understand why im treated as if im a caste below.

I am just advocating some sense of justice. I know, most people might say "let bygones be bygones" but to me there's something to be learned from history. please, it's a silly thing to push us in and throw us out, we're not animals (even you know how to treat animals right). better management, handling of press, promises kept (remember that the management is not fishing for votes like politicians) could've got everyone a chance to smile instead of feeling a bit bitter.

Meet and Greet? it was a half cooked satisfaction. We got to Look and See, not Meet and Greet. We get to see them from BEHIND, see the shape of their body instead of shaking their hands for a second or two while looking at them in the eye.

The concert was great, nonetheless. It was an OUTSTANDING EFFORT WELL WORTH IT. I do hope and i am confident Pineapple Concert will arrange a bigger and better concert next year, bravo!

guess what? i ended up not seeing anyone. there was no slot for The Roots and they had to squeeze it in at 6pm. And when I went in for the Meet & Greet, I was the only fan and the rest were the medias. The Roots didn't come for the M&G 'cause they weren't feeling well. So, I left the media room. Apparently, the pass allowed me to go see any artists in the media room. Somehow they hired a bozo to guard the gate to go backstage and when INCUBUS was in the media room, THE BUTTHEAD WOULDN'T LET ME IN SAYING THAT I HAD TO WAIT! AND HOW 'THE PROMOTER HASN'T GIVEN HIM ANY INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT M&G' yada yada... AFTER I SAW INCUBUS WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM IN FRONT OF ME, I WENT TO ASK THE GUY AGAIN. he stupidly asked me to go in. i don't know why i did but of course, I JUST MISSED THE INCUBUS!!!! ~!@#$%^&* i was seriously pissed off.

as stated, the media and the fans each had their own slot. why the mishandling????

if the artists come to malaysia on a daily basis i wouldn't be this unsatisfied.

It was a disaster, literally 'meet' and 'greet', fans just stood behind the band for less than two minutes as the media session was going on simultaneously, then we were shoved off the media room right away. We didn't have any picture taken and the 'only one item' was not signed. As Incubus was leaving the room, I quickly chased them trying to get autograph, but the security was such a nasty ass and pushed me off. Luckily Brandon Boyd and Chris Kilmore were such nice people, signed my album even though they were being rushed back to backstage. The 15 minutes stated in the itinery was ripped off by the media, I know the media did not get the 30 minutes they were promised too, but a 5-minute individual fans-only, no-media session is definitely not asking too much. Ironically, I saw some media were refused entry due to the reason that the media room has been full. There were just too many freeriders in this festival, friends of Tom, Dick and Harry, organizer, sponsors or media were spotted in the tiny room with their multi-coloured VIP/Rockstar/Freeloader tags hanging around their necks. There were even more of these specially treated 'guests' between the stage and barricade during Incubus's set, the BIGGEST drawback of the festival for us who paid 200 bucks in hope of great time. I was terribly dissapointed by the way we punters were treated unjustifiedly. I would love to see the organizer look up at this so it would not happen in their next run.

You could send pictures that the press members took from the 'snap galore' session to our emails.Its the least you could do.
