We been keeping quiet throughout all this time simply because we were overwhelmed, in every sense of the word.

Overwhelmed with the great initial feedback we received regarding the bands you want to see at Sunburst.

Overwhelmed with the reaction when we announced the line-up.

Overwhelmed with the great performances by ALL acts involved at the festival.

Overwhelmed with the never ending series of issues & problems we had to face in organising this year's festival.

But when all is said and done, at the end of the day I'm proud to have a great team behind me who were instrumental in pulling off the 2nd Sunburst Music Festival without any major problems. We have always put the audience first, so with regards to the show itself, we tried our best to give you that festival experience that Sunburst is known for without any glitches or interruptions.

I know many of you were very disappointed with this year's artist line-up. For me to answer each and everyone of your concerns will literally take a lifetime. So believe me when I say that we took note of everything you posted, blogged about and also all the criticisms thrown our way. Fact of the matter is, we had a very tough time booking the acts we wanted this year. They are all mostly booked somewhere else, or simply not available. But what is most important is the "spirit" of Sunburst Music Festival itself, and I believe that is still intact. We have ambitions for Sunburst to be S.E.Asia's biggest & baddest music festival but please bear in mind that we are only in our 2nd year and still learning. 

While Korn & N.E.R.D rocked the house in a way that only they know how to, I'm glad to see that we created a whole bunch of new fans for the likes of Naturally 7 & Skye. Just like last year when not many of you have heard of Raul Midon & George Clinton, I believe many of you discovered N7 & Skye for the 1st time at Sunburst and that is a big part of what I want Sunburst to be every year: a place where you will discover great new acts.

The plethora of local acts also showed that the gap between the huge international stars and our home grown talent is not that far apart. There's loads of talent here in Malaysia, and they have undoubtedly proven they can share the same stage and hold their own with anyone in world music.

I have to give a shout out to all the sponsors this year, who shared our vision and played a tremendous part in realising that vision.

But while we at Pineapple Concerts is driven by nothing else but passion to do what we do, it is getting to the point where we need to ask ourselves...is it worth it? We take huge financial risks and deal with mountainous amounts of stress on a daily basis and sometimes...just sometimes it seems to be all for nothing. While the sight of thousands of Malaysians running around the field having a hell of a time is what keeps us going, things happening behind the scenes are slowly chomping away at our resolve.

Maybe things will change, maybe it won't. But for now, on behalf of everyone at Pineapple Concerts... thank you for all the love, thank you to all the amazing artists, thank you to the entire team that made this possible, thank you to all the haters, and most of all a massive thank you to all who parted with your hard earned cash for a festival ticket.

Second year running, and it was yet another blast!

Thank you, all - artists, volunteers, fans, friends and partners for making Sunburst KL09 another whopping success.

Guys, you never fail to amaze us. If anyone knows how to rock a festival, it's you guys.  

We're all set for 2010 – with your continued support, we can make an even bigger, badder and louder bang!

IMMEDIATE CHANGE IN festival program schedule!

Due to the unfortunate circumstances that has arisen, the Festival Program Schedule has been updated. For those of you planning to come later, kindly plan your day around the new schedule.  

Erykah badu cancelled

It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of Erykah Badu's performance at Sunburst KL09.  Due to personal reasons unbeknown to Pineapple Concerts, Erykah Badu's party has confirmed that she must give Kuala Lumpur a pass.  

Due to the last minute cancellation, Pineapple Concerts was unable to get a replacement in time for Sunburst KL09 on 21st March.  

Our deepest apologies to all Erykah Badu fans.  And all the best to Erykah Badu.

The cancellation has also affected the Program Schedule, please go through the schedule to properly plan your day.

Hey people, we're making our last rounds so catch us when we're out and about. We'll be selling tickets at 15% OFF the pre-sale ticket price, and it's only at our Roadshow Ticket Booths.

Better still, starting 15 March we'll be giving away a pair of Meet & Greet Passes to the first 5 purchasers who buy 4 or more tickets per Roadshow.
