Malaysian Rock owes its fame and recognition to the ever popular band Search.  Hailing from Johor, 5 youths made their journey to Kuala Lumpur in the early 80’s without knowing that they would be the catalyst of the Malay Rock movement as we know it today.  Search is now a household name, idolized and revered by every rock loving fan transcending across generations. One of their greatest achievements was their hit song “Isabella” which was re-recorded into 20 different versions for Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan and Holland to name a few.

Having released over 20 albums in their 25 years of tenure in the music industry, Search’s popularity never ceases to wane. With international fans and concerts set abroad, namely in Singapore, Jakarta, Medan, Bangkok and New York many of their concerts sell-out. With the release of their latest album “Gothik Malam Edan”, Search has again stamped their mark as the living legend of Malaysian Rock music.
