Not a Rock Band – rather, a Free-Spirited Band; that is how Gigi, one of Indonesia’s celebrated bands would like to be classified. Rock as they say is too rigid a genre to categorize their melodic tunes to. Formed back in 1994, the band plays what they call ‘free pop’ – a musical combination of jazz, rock and pop influences serenaded by distinctive husky vocals.  Since their launch Gigi has continued to release album after album each year garnering more fans as they evolve.
