 A Kuala Lumpur based ska, rocksteady, reggae & dub band, Gerhana Skacinta emerged from the ska revival scene of Malaysia in the late 90s. While third-wave ska bred new faces and new categories; ska-punk, ska-pop, ska-core, Gerhana Skacinta stayed true to their ska roots. Since their first gig at the Ska Clinic back in the day, the band went on to record a compilation album entitled 'Tribute to Sweet Charity' in 2001, release their first single 'Skali Skale' in early 2002, 'Boss Sounds' debut album in late 2002, and their second album 'The New Authentic' in 2004, which achieved commercial success to put ska on the local music map.
